Shareef Sarhan's original Gaza Lighthouse.

Shareef Sarhan’s original Gaza Lighthouse

Amos Trust is a small, creative human rights organisation. For over 40 years, we’ve worked with grassroots partners in Palestine, South Africa, Nicaragua and beyond — challenging injustice, building hope and amplifying the voices of those too often ignored.

“To take that which has been destroyed and turn it into a literal ‘beacon’ of hope is very powerful.” Shareef Sarhan — Gaza

The Gaza Lighthouse is inspired by a real creative space built by Gazan artist Shareef Sarhan. Amid rubble and destruction, Shareef built a structure where artists could meet, remember and create. His Lighthouse is a place of light and defiant hope — and the version that you saw at Greenbelt, is our way of standing in solidarity with that vision.

If this is your first time hearing about us, welcome. Below you’ll find some ways to stay connected and get involved.

Support our Gaza & West Bank Appeal

We work with trusted local partners in Gaza and the West Bank to provide emergency support, trauma care, education and creative programmes — especially for young people living under occupation and siege.

Your donations will help fund:

  • urgent medical supplies and psychological support in Gaza;
  • cultural spaces and trauma recovery work for children and youth;
  • education and empowerment for girls living under military occupation.

Host a Supper Club for Palestine

Four delicious plates of colourful Palestinian food

One of the most powerful ways to support Palestine is to celebrate its culture. Our Supper Clubs are a way to do just that — by gathering friends, sharing food and raising funds in solidarity.

We provide:

  • beautiful recipes from Palestinian chefs;
  • tips on how to host;
  • stories of resilience to share with your guests.

Whether it’s two friends or twenty, every Supper Club helps keep culture alive.
