We are delighted to announce that Amos Trust are part of Bethlehem Unwrapped a fabulous line-up of events at St James' Piccadilly this Christmas.

A festival of Bethlehem at Christmas

St James’s Church, Piccadilly, Thursday 23 December 2013 – Sunday 5 January 2014.

with Nigel Kennedy, Yotam Ottolenghi & Sami Tamimi, Reem Kelani, Yasmin Alibhai-Brown, singers from The Tallis Scholars, comedians Mark Steel, Ivor Dembina, Andy Zaltzman, Dave Cohen & more!

ART – Thursday 23 December, 6pm: ‘Unwrapped’ - opening ceremony of major installation in St James’s Courtyard & children’s art exhibition from Bethlehem, 'All the Paint are walls./..' which is the exhibition that features the child's painting which is inspiration for this Christmas reflection. 

POETRY – Sunday 29 December, 7.30pm: ‘Slammed Up’ – slam poetry with 2012 World Slam champion Harry Baker, Zia Ahmed, Bridget Minamore & Dizraeli

COMEDY – Monday 30 December, 7.30pm: ‘Stand Up Against the Wall’ – comedy night with BBC comedy star & Independent columnist Mark Steel, Hampstead Comedy Club host Ivor Dembina (****The Guardian), Dave Cohen (“Smart & very funny” Huffington Post UK) and Andy Zaltzman (“Breathtakingly good” Time Out)

FILM – Thursday 2 January, 7.30pm: ‘Jeremy Hardy vs. the Israeli Army’ – Palestinian film-maker & Bethlehem resident Leila Sansour introduces her comedy doc. “Outstanding…riveting film” (**** Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian)

CUISINE – Friday 3 January, 7.30pm: ‘Bethlehem Feast’ – charity fundraising dinner with Yotam Ottolenghi & Sami Tamimi 

NB Numbers for this event are strictly limited – book early!

DEBATE – Saturday 4 January, 8pm: ‘Both sides of the Barrier: Separation or Security?’ – speakers include Jeff Halper, founder of the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions

MUSIC – Sunday 5 January, 7.30pm: ‘The Bridge’ – with Nigel Kennedy, singers from The Tallis Scholars, renowned Palestinian singer Reem Kelani and guest speaker Yasmin Alibhai-Brown
