Giving it up for Nicaragua

We seek to raise enough money each year to meet the salaries of the teachers in the Avocado school in the highly impoverished town of La Concepcion, Nicaragua.

Join us and give up a cup of coffee, a newspaper, a glass of wine, a download, ... anything you like for each day of November and give these dedicated Nicaraguan teachers a special reason to celebrate Christmas.

Or become a regular or one-off supporter of the work of the Avocado Tree School.

The school was set up as a partnership between Amos Trust and CEPAD. The compassion, creativity and commitment of the teaching team is inspirational - not only for the 420 children enrolled but also for all of us who visit the school and see how they have had to combat so many difficulties.

"To give up one thing each day for a month doesn't make much difference to me - but the money I raised made such a huge difference to the teachers I met in Nicaragua. These teachers earn so little yet do so much to create hope for the future of this desperately poor country."

Go here to support the work of the Avocado Tree School with your donation.
