Gill and I were back in Nicaragua in February for a short visit. I was invited primarily to do some seminars on the situation in Palestine and Israel, but also to do a few concerts and services. It was a wonderful time especially meeting up with all our friends again.  read more…

We did not have much space last time to write of Nicaragua. With the recent election there have even been mentions of the country in the UK and US press, with the US fearing the victory by Daniel Ortega (and threatening economic reprisals in that event). CEPAD had a team of 75 national observers monitoring the election, which they reported went peacefully - more details on CEPAD website.  read more…

We - a small group of staff and supporters - have just returned from Nicaragua. A trip there is always an inspiration, not least because of the quality of our partners in CEPAD. We met all our friends - many well known to Amos supporters - Gustavo and Joan Parajon, Damaris Albuquerque and Gilberto Aguirre and many others.   read more…

We are looking forward to our trip to Nicaragua in February 2006 (those interested in joining us need to confirm their booking now!), and were delighted to hear that more new houses in the community we visited last year, Siares, and in neighbouring Guadaloupe, were dedicated on 21st October - part of the funding for these houses came from Amos supporters.  read more…
