Christmas Special: A Night of Beautiful Resistance
A Night of Beautiful Resistance
Monday 6th December 2021
Our Christmas special celebration of Beautiful Resistance — the philosophy of using arts and culture as tools of nonviolent resistance under occupation, pioneered by Abdelfattah Abusrour at Alrowwad Cultural & Arts Society in Aida Refugee Camp, Bethlehem.
Christmas in Bethlehem has always been about hope in impossible circumstances. This evening brought together music, poetry, performance and solidarity — celebrating Palestinian culture and creativity while standing against occupation and injustice.
We were joined by Abdelfattah Abusrour and a host of special guest singers, performers and artists including Martyn Joseph, Beth Rowley, Rasha Nahas, Justin Butcher, Shareef Sarhan and the Tadhamon Singers. Together, they created a powerful evening of resistance, beauty and hope.
Featuring:
- Abdelfattah Abusrour: Founder, Alrowwad Cultural Centre, Bethlehem
