Our next visit will be May 2011. This trip will have a stream for adult supports and one for families with children.
Nicaragua gets under your skin. Every time we have taken a group, people have come back fired up and passionate about this beautiful country and it's people, who are struggling with the effects of climate change and poverty resulting from unfair trade agreements and political oppression. Amos Trust regularly runs trips for supporters to visit it's partners in Nicaragua every 2 years.
As well as visiting Amos' partner projects, CEPAD and the Avocado Tree school, supporters will be able to choose from options including volunteering for a street child project, trekking, white water rafting and visiting artists colonies. There will also be the chance to stop, reflect and discuss what we can learn from standing in solidarity with a country suffering the consequences of globalization.
Dates and more information will be available by the end of August 2010. To express an interest in this trip, contact Sarah at the Amos office.
Price (TBC): £2,000 including flights from the UK & donation to the work of our hosts CEPAD. (Prices for joining the trip from another location will be available on request. A stop-over in Florida can also be arranged.)
