bet lahem live arts festival

A highlight of Amos’ calendar, the Bet Lahem Live Arts Festival is one of the best ways to see and celebrate Palestinian culture at its most exuberant. Set in the heart of Old Bethlehem and nestled in amongst the historic winding streets, this weekend long, giant street party is crammed to the brim with local and international music, art and dance.

Started by our Palestinian partners Holy Land Trust in conjunction with Greenbelt Arts Festival and Amos Trust, Bet Lahem Live is a local project dedicated to promoting creative, non-violent opposition to the occupation.

Wandering down Star Street, you can sample fresh local delicacies, buy from the many local handmade gift stalls, or sit with new friends at one of the many live music venues, watching the celebrations go by.

The community festival has quickly grown over the last three years with more than 20,000 local people attending over the August weekend. Bet Lahem Live is one of our most popular trips which we would especially recommend to anyone wanting to learn more about Palestinian culture.

It is also open to people just wanting to go and visit somewhere totally new and learn more – Bethlehem is like nowhere else in the world and we're already looking forward to another fantastic festival in 2017. If you're interested in joining us, please follow this link or simply email Nick at Amos Trust if you have any questions.
