Spend time with the team and the young people they work with, understand why children come on to the streets and how Umthombo walks with them on the long road to finding a new future.

Join us for an unforgettable trip to Durban, South Africa. 
Visit our partner Umthombo’s vital work with children and young people living on Durban’s streets. Spend time with the team and the young people they work with, understand why children come on to the streets and how Umthombo walks with them on the long road to finding a new future.

We will accompany the Umthombo team on their morning outreach to Durban’s streets, visit their post-16 boys’ programme, spend time with the young women they support, visit children who Umthombo have reunited with their families and join in their sports, craft and cooking programmes.

We’ll spend time understanding more of South Africa’s history, including the regime of Apartheid and the struggle for freedom and justice.

You will also: 

We will spend 6 days with Umthombo while in Durban where we will stay in a hotel close to the city’s beaches.

Beach life: Located on the east coast of South Africa, Durban is famous for its golden beaches and warm waters.

Cost
The cost of this trip is £1,750 per person and includes international flights and full board accommodation and is suitable for young people and families. Single rooms are available at an extra cost of £250 — please click here to book.
