Friday 28th — Monday 31st May
Join us on our annual Amos Road Club cycle ride. We have chosen the Wye Valley as it’s such a beautiful area, fairly easy to get to and has a great selection of rides in the Forest of Dean but also up to the Malvern’s and even the Cotswolds.
Amos Road Club
Tour of the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley
Friday 28th — Monday 31st May 2021
£150 per person
Welcome to the annual Amos Road Club ride which is open to all ages and abilities. Our 2021 ride will take place in the Forest of Dean and surrounding areas from Friday 28th — Monday 31st May. We have booked the Wye Valley Youth hostel near Ross-On-Wye for the weekend.
All welcome: We will be planning a range of routes of different lengths and profiles for people to choose from.
We have chosen the Wye Valley as it’s such a beautiful area, fairly easy to get to and has a great selection of rides in the Forest of Dean but also up to the Malvern’s and even the Cotswolds.
We will be planning a range of routes of different lengths and profiles for people to choose from. So, if you like it lumpy or a bit flatter, there will be choices open to you and if you would like to just do one day or accompany a partner for the weekend and not do any cycling at all, then that’s fine too.
On the Saturday and Sunday, you will be able to choose from distances between 50 and 100 km with profiles that suit you. On the Monday there will be a morning ride in the Forest of Dean.
The cost is £150 per person and includes three nights B&B and dinner on the Saturday and Sunday evening. You will need to feed yourselves on the Friday night. The price also includes daily snacks and a picnic lunch. We are not currently planning on having a support vehicle this year — but if we decide that we should do, then there will be an additional £10 charge.
All abilities: We will be planning a range of routes of different lengths and profiles for people to choose from.
The hostel is 20 miles from Hereford railway station, 20 miles from Gloucester railway station and 30 miles from Cheltenham. If you know the area and would like to suggest some routes or would just like to do some route planning, then please get in touch.
We are not expecting you to raise money in sponsorship — unless you would like to do so. We organise fundraising rides every few years but want to meet together and ride together annually as we have found that so much good stuff comes out of it for Amos, plus it’s great fun.
To book your place and pay your £25 deposit for the 2020 Amos Road Club ride, simply click here or on the REGISTER NOW button near the top of the page. We would ask you to register as soon as possible so we can confirm numbers at the youth hostel.
