October is breast cancer awareness month and we're asking the woman of the UK to stand in solidarity with our sisters in Gaza by hosting a local event to raise awareness and support amongst family, friends and neighbours throughout October, November and December.
October is breast cancer awareness month and for the third year, we're asking the woman of the UK to stand in solidarity with our sisters in Gaza by hosting a local event to raise awareness and support amongst family, friends and neighbours throughout the autumn.
Over the last 2 years, the event has included coffee mornings, art exhibitions, a gig, Palestinian dinners, clothes swaps, exhibitions, gin tastes, marathons, interactive installations and church services.
Susan Harley organised a women’s art exhibition and sale in Devon she says:
“Organising a Women 4 Women event was one of the best things I have ever done. The generosity of the team that helped, the artists who donated and the people who supported & bought was amazing. It was also a brilliant way to bring awareness about the challenges the Women in Gaza have, especially when they have cancer”.
We want women all over the UK to get together over the coming months and support the women of Gaza by raising awareness and vital funds for the breast cancer screening programme at Amos partner Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza, whilst doing something they enjoy doing!
Please download your free resource pack to get event ideas and lots of background information about the situation in Gaza. And for 2018, we have some new resources for you:
If you would prefer to simply make a donation to the Women 4 Women Appeal, you can do that too by simply clicking here. In the meantime, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more resources and support with organising your event.
When women support each other, incredible things happen.
