Since 1995, Karunalaya has advocated for the rights of children and families living on the streets of Chennai, India. They work to tackle child marriage, child labour and gender-based violence, which have increased drastically since the start of the pandemic.
Discovering you have breast cancer is devastating but if you live in the Gaza Strip, it is three times more likely to be terminal. In an economy on its knees, edging out of another conflict, this is impossible for many people. The best hope is early detection. October is breast cancer awareness month and we’re asking the woman of the UK to stand in solidarity with our sisters in Gaza by hosting a local event to raise awareness and support amongst family, friends and neighbours throughout October, November and December.

When words fail, art speaks. Amos Trust presented the ‘On Location’ exhibition at Greenbelt Festival in the UK and a sister exhibition, ‘Colours Of Gaza’, at The Walled Off Hotel in Bethlehem in August/September 2022. This short film tells the story.
