Gender Justice

Meeting girls and young women where they are. Standing with them as they rebuild their lives. Challenging the systems that push them to the margins.

Unseen and unheard

The reality

Millions of girls and young women around the world face violence, exploitation and exclusion simply because of their gender. Many live on the streets — pushed there by poverty, abuse or conflict. They’re often invisible to the systems meant to protect them, dismissed by communities and denied the futures they deserve.

But they’re not invisible to us.

Our approach

For over 30 years, Amos Trust has partnered with grassroots organisations working directly with girls and young women who’ve experienced trauma, displacement and discrimination. Our partners don’t just offer services — they offer solidarity. They meet girls on the streets, in shelters and in communities. They recognise their strength, listen to their stories and walk alongside them as they heal and rebuild.

They work with families to challenge harmful attitudes, advocate for policy change and amplify the voices of those who are too often silenced. We believe that real change happens when communities transform from within.

Our partners

In Burundi, India, South Africa and Tanzania, our partners are led by people who understand the realities girls and young women face because they’re part of those communities. They bring cultural knowledge, deep relationships and decades of experience. Together, we’re creating safe spaces, changing minds and building movements for lasting change.
