Partnership in Action

Building change from the ground up

Working with partners across Africa and India to defend the rights of girls and young women living and working on the streets.

For more than 20 years, Amos Trust has walked alongside organisations supporting children and young people living or working on the streets. Since 2018, our focus has sharpened: securing the rights, safety and futures of girls and young women surviving on the streets.

These aren’t programmes designed in distant offices — they’re shaped by our partners and the young people they serve — people who understand the reality of street life because they’re part of those communities. Their experience guides everything we do. Their insight helps us respond to real needs, not assumptions.

Why girls and young women?

Girls and young women on the streets face unique dangers. They’re more vulnerable to violence, exploitation and trafficking. They're often blamed for their circumstances and denied the support boys might receive. Many are survivors of abuse — at home, on the streets or both.

Our partners meet them where they are. They offer safety, healthcare, education and legal support. But more than that, they offer respect, solidarity and a vision of a different future. They work with families and communities to shift attitudes and advocate for policy changes. And they create pathways for girls to reclaim their lives on their own terms.

Our partners

We’re proud to work with four incredible organisations led by people who know what it takes to create lasting change:

Each partner brings unique strengths, deep community roots and a commitment to dignity and justice. Together, we're part of a growing movement to ensure no girl or young woman is left behind.
