Experience Palestine: Meet local Palestinians

Our Experience Palestine trip runs from 12th–19th April and is a chance to meet our inspirational local partners, visit communities and historic sites, experience amazing hospitality and see the reality of life under occupation.

This trip is for those returning to Palestine, for those wanting a first-hand feel for how things are today and for those who’ve never been before. There’s no set itinerary because plans must respond to changing conditions on the ground.

You’ll stay in Bethlehem with time in Jerusalem and the surrounding areas and meet local Palestinians, visit historic sites, eat incredible food and have time in the desert to stop and think. You’ll hear from our inspirational partner organisations and friends about their extraordinary work in creative resistance, advocacy and human rights and you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside them — either carrying out spring planting or delivering another practical response.

Join us! A huge crowd gathers at the start line for the Palestine Marathon in Bethlehem

The Palestine Marathon takes place while we’re in Bethlehem on Friday 17th April, offering full marathon, half marathon, 10km and 5km family run/walk distances.

You can watch the marathon from a local café and soak up the atmosphere, but we would encourage everyone who can to at least do the 5km fun run (which you also walk). You’ll be joining 10,000 other runners and walkers — and taking part in the family run counts as running the Marathon! You can also extend your trip to include personal travel or to volunteer with one of our partners.

Our Experience

Amos Trust have been taking groups to Palestine for 30 years. We'll introduce you to our friends and partners and draw on their expertise and local knowledge to make sure you have an unforgettable trip.
