A delicious way to fundraise

Food as resistance

Palestinian cuisine tells the story of a land and its people — olive oil pressed from ancient groves, za’atar gathered from hillsides, recipes passed down through generations. Under occupation, simply preserving and sharing this culture becomes an act of resistance.

When you host a Palestine supper club, you’re doing more than raising funds. You’re celebrating Palestinian identity, building community and refusing to let Palestinian culture be erased. You’re gathering people around a table to learn, connect and take action together.

It’s solidarity you can taste.

“My mother taught me how to be able to celebrate Palestine by welcoming guests to have our food. So, cook Palestinian wherever you are, because you are part of preserving that culture and telling the world we exist.” Fadi Kattan, Palestinian chef and co-founder of Akub Restaurant in London

How it works

Hosting a supper club is simple:

  1. Invite friends, family or colleagues for a meal
  2. Cook a few Palestinian dishes (we'll share easy recipes)
  3. Ask guests to donate what they’d spend on a meal out
  4. Enjoy great food, conversation and solidarity

Whether it’s a cosy dinner at home or a bigger gathering at a venue, cooking is a powerful way to stand with Palestinians while raising vital funds for our work in Gaza and the West Bank.

Your supper club toolkit

Everything you need to host your own supper club for Palestine:

1. Getting started

  • pick a date,
  • decide how many guests to invite,
  • set a suggested donation per person (e.g. £20-30),
  • spread the word and get your supper club underway.

2. Delicious Palestinian recipes

We’ve put together a selection of favourite Palestinian dishes from Amos Trust’s Sally Azzam and our friend Phoebe Rison from The Olive Tree Kitchen — simple, flavourful and perfect for sharing.

The recipe pack includes one starter, two mains (one meat, one vegetarian) and one dessert. We recommend Zaytoun and Shorkk for buying ethically sourced Palestinian and Middle Eastern spices, oils and ingredients online.

3. Fundraising

Your supper club is more than a meal — it’s a chance to raise vital funds for our Gaza and West Bank appeal.

You can fundraise by:

  • charging guests a set amount per person (e.g. £20 to cover food and fundraising), then collect the total and make one donation online →
  • asking guests to donate directly to our Gaza Appeal, referencing your supper club.

4. Make your evening meaningful

Add something extra to the night by sharing more about Palestine's rich culture and history.

You could:

5. Share your supper club
