“The histories of our two peoples, Palestinian and South African, correspond in such painful and poignant ways.” Nelson Mandela, 1999

16th June marks the 50th anniversary of the Soweto uprising. Join us for a special webinar marking the occasion.

Joined by speakers from South Africa and Palestine, we’ll be discussing the role of young people in the struggle against apartheid in both countries — and the failures to deliver the change that young people campaigned and died for.

For decades, Amos Trust has worked alongside partners in both South Africa (uMthombo) and Palestine. This webinar will be part of a series of activities we’ll be sharing that week, exploring the history of Soweto and the connected struggles against apartheid in South Africa and Palestine.
