We Stand
We stand for justice and equal rights
We stand against colonialism
We stand against apartheid
We stand against ethnic cleansing
We stand for human dignity and equality
We stand this day with those whose freedom is denied
We link arms with those who have fled war, torture and despair
We come in penance for broken promises and political fixes
We walk the long road with all those who strive for peace, justice
and reconciliation

We pray in the hope that one day all people in Palestine and Israel
will live in peace as neighbours with full equal rights
Charities, trade unions, religious groups, and civil society organisations speak out against Israel’s plans to annex Palestinian land. Over 20 organisations have released a statement against Israel’s continued plans to formally annex up to 30% of West Bank. A joint statement.

“On 18th June we received the desperately sad news that our good friend, partner and inspiration Gilberto Aguirre (El Profe), had passed away. He had been rushed into hospital for emergency throat cancer surgery in the middle of May and unfortunately, complications arose after this.” Garth Hewitt writes of the life of Gilberto Aguirre from CEPAD in Nicaragua.
“Thousands of artists worldwide have publicly endorsed BDS and many thousands more quietly refuse offers from Israeli music venues, theatres, festivals and production companies. Any artist who does cross the peaceful Palestinian picket line, regardless of intentions, is used by Israel’s far-right apartheid regime to whitewash, or ‘artwash’, and therefore perpetuate its system of oppression against Palestinians.” Palestinian musician Samir Eskanda writes about why the cultural boycott of Israel is vital for the peaceful struggle against Israeli apartheid.
