Difficulty rating: Easy

This week is dominated by the events of the First World War as we move down along the German lines through the Somme Region.

We will take time out from the historic city of Bapaume to visit the Somme memorial at Thiepval and for parts of the route, we will be joined by people who can describe more of the region we are walking through and its history. 

As we draw toward the end of week three we pass through Loan with its beautiful Gothic Cathedral before walking the Chemin de Dames Ridge which saw three major offensives during World War 1, and then finishing in Corbeny.
